Friday Pix: Recommended Reading For The Weekend

Every Friday I point you towards some recommended reading around the blogosphere:

1. I loved this hanukkah post by my colleague Annie Groer at Politics Daily.

2. Another marvellous instalment in the “So You Want To…” video series. Here’s So You Want To Write A Novel over at Laraine Herring’s blog. Ouch! (Hat tip: Lisa Romeo Writes)

3. I’ve always been amazed – and edified – by Mike T’s blog, A Boat Against The Current, where he features daily cultural updates from “this day in history.” Here’s Mike’s tribute to Woody Allen, who turned 75 this week.

4. As someone who firmly believes that we need to normalize divorce within mainstream cultural discourse, I was pleased to see this painful and moving poem about divorce by Ginger Andrews featured at Your Daily Poem. (Hat Tip: Practicing Writing)

5. Bloggers and Twitter-users alike will love Shady URL, where you type in a URL and it shrinks to…well, something quite strange indeed. Try it. Guaranteed to give a smile.

Enjoy your weekend!
